Taylor and Carson are finishing up on their two weeks of swimming lessons at the University of Tennessee. We started last week with a fear not of the water but a fear to get in the water without life jackets. We hopefully are ending the term of swimming lessons with some new techniques. We are now ready for the beach!!!!!!!!!!

Reece's Birthday Party
My niece, Reece, is turning two!!! I can't believe it! She is a joy to be around. Taylor loves on Reece like she is her baby doll. Reece is a little scared of Carson (I don't blame her) because he is always so active around her. But, Taylor and Carson both had a blast at Reece's 2nd Birthday Party at the Splash Pad at Carl Cowan Park. It turned out to be a nice day and the kids had a blast. We are counting down days to go to the beach!!!!
8th Grade Prom
Well my kids aren't ready just yet for 8th Grade being since they are still 3, but they did go with me to my school's 8th Grade Prom. Taylor didn't understand why we were wearing "church clothes" and not going to church. It was yet another battle with her and clothes. When we first got there, Carson immediately spotted the table with the food with just bowls and bowls of chips and of course a tray with mounds of brownies. He also saw the numerous pizza slices on the trays. I am not exactly sure what was going through his mind, but to him I am sure it looked like heaven. Carson loves to eat ALL OF THE TIME. Adam and I are on him constantly about how much to eat and what to eat, etc. He doesn't get "free reign" very often for sure. Adam walked in from being out of town for a week and that thrilled the kids for sure. They were excited to see him and so was I!!!!! Taylor and Carson thrilled the eyes of many with their interesting dance moves. I am not so sure who taught them to dance, but it is funny to watch them enjoy music. Taylor, Carson and Adam didn't stay too long at the dance because Carson had baseball practice. Carson had been talking about baseball practice all day, so he didn't mind leaving the dance. Taylor didn't care where they were going as long as she could go with her daddy. Carson played the pitcher spot at practice and evidently did a pretty good job chasing after all of the balls hit to him. Well except the time he knocked over a kid trying to get the ball. Of course, Carson came up with the ball!!! He hit a few balls from the tee and got to go all the way around the bases before someone got him out. It is hilarious to hear him talk about it. He loves it! Taylor just chased Adam around the field or maybe Adam chased Taylor around. Anyway, the only thing she did that had anything to do with baseball was play in the dirt in the infield...We had an eventful day!!!!!

Swimming
Taylor and Carson enjoyed swimming at this indoor swimming pool today. They loved it so much that they made me take them twice today. They loved putting their new life jackets on (Thanks Nana T), and I loved them having them on. It makes life on me so much easier especially handling 2 three olds at a swimming pool by myself!!! Taylor couldn't believe that her life jacket had pink and purple on it which according to her is her two favorite colors today. Taylor and Carson are excited about their swimming lessons starting in a week and half. It should definitely make for some interesting posts that is for sure. Hopefully you can be able to see Taylor and Carson in these pics. They are a little dark. I am hinting for a flash for my camera.......I love my Canon EOS camera but inside shots aren't nearly as great as the outside ones with outside light. Thank goodness it is summer and most pics are outside or I am sure that is what my hubby will say!!! Enjoy!

Another Zoo Trip

We went back to the zoo but this time we took my sis-in-law, Brooke, and my neice, Reece. Brooke is much more an animal lover than myself, and the kids loved her telling facts about each animal. Brooke even took Reece and Taylor in to the petting zoo to comb the goats' backs. We are so glad that they went. We can't wait to go to Dollywood and Splash Country with them too!

We love our park!
We go to our local park at least a couple times a week. Taylor and Carson love the many different slides and playing with old friends and new. I love it because I can hang out with mothers just like me and watch our children play hard. We usually go before nap and enjoy a picnic lunch while we are there. Taylor and Carson love the park, and I do too!

Upaji Village
Taylor and Carson love the new Upaji Village at our church, Sevier Heights Baptist Church. They worship our Heavenly Father by singing songs and hearing puppets tell Bible stories. Thanks Cindy for the pics!
