Happy Anniversary to my hubby!
Just wanted to shout out a Happy Anniversary to my dear hubby, Adam. We are celebrating our 7th anniversary tonight out on the town starting with dinner at Pasta Trio in the Old City. Thanks Hayley for the recommendation and the reservation! Adam and I started dating in the mid 90's (that seems so long ago) and dated 6 years before marrying in 2001. Adam is an amazing husband and an incredible father of my children. I enjoy every minute we spend together and am looking forward to the many more years to come. Love ya babe! (I couldn't find any pics of just Adam and I on my desktop ..I guess they all involve Taylor and Carson...I would have loved to have put our wedding pic or dating years but was there even digital cameras out then???? i didn't have one for sure. i don't have a scanner to scan one in, so this will have to do).

Friday evenings at the baseball field!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We have been extremely busy this week. We have gone to the lake a couple of days, Dollywood, and Splash Country all this week and are expecting play dates over tomorrow ...Whew! I am exhausted!
I wanted to share a few pictures and comments about Carson playing baseball. He chose his own number (#5) because that is what his UT Chris Lofton's basketball jersey is also. We have another game tomorrow night at 7 p.m. He loves it! It is so funny to see all of the kids run after the ball when someone hits it. Carson likes to come up with the ball and knocks anyone down that is in his way. Sometimes I wonder if he should play flag football instead. Ha! He doesn't have to be told to be aggressive that is for sure. Taylor enjoys being Taylor and drawing or playing in the dirt not paying one bit of attention regarding the game. However, she always lines up after the game to get her piece of candy. Funny stuff!

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is this week at our church (Sevier Heights Baptist Church). Everything we are doing this week goes along with our title of VBS which is Basic Training: An Army for One. Taylor and Carson are in a class with a lot of their friends as well as my friends as their teachers. Just down the hall, I am helping with the 4 year olds with more of my friends from small group and MOPS. We have been leaving the house around 8 a.m. and getting home around 1 p.m. It is for a tiring, but enjoyable rewarding day! Carson said that his favorite things about Vacation Bible School were "snack time, watching the puppets, marching and chanting, and playing in the jumphouses." Taylor said that her favorite things about Vacation Bible School were "watching the puppets, painting, coloring, and playing in the jumphouses." VBS ends on Friday, and we all may be barely functioning by then in our energy levels; but, it is well worth it. Taylor and Carson have enjoyed it thus far and are constantly talking about things that they are learning daily about our God. It is rewarding and exciting to see. I pray for all of the children in VBS that they will share with their parents what they are learning about being in an army for God. (Thanks Cindy for the pictures!)

Back from the Beach
Gulfshores---a fantastic vacation! We went with my family (The Taylor Crew) and had a blast. Taylor and Carson enjoyed playing with Reece (Brannon and Brooke's daughter), and we all shared many laughs and memories together. We were fortunate to run in to friends of the past (back in our Mississippi days) and were able to share some time and memories with them. It took us about 8 hours or so to get to Gulfshores including stopping 3 times within 3 miles for pottying breaks for the kids. Adam was extremely patient and at times you just had to laugh and know that we were eventually going to get there. We had a really great time! We just love the beach and are counting down days until we get to head back to the Gulf.
